Workshop at the UdK (University of the Arts) in
Berlin.
At the beginning of 2005 I agreed to follow the call of Prof. A.
Heine to speak about my work as a photographer and to do a workshop
with a group of students of the University of Arts, Berlin. The theme

of their choice in the City of Berlin and photograph it. Whatever
seemed to be the essence of that craft to the student, they should
try to capture it with the new D2 sponsored by LEICA.

The range of the selected crafts were wide and we had amazingly many
photographs. We sat down with every student and went through their
many pictures and selected together the strong images that represented
the craft in the specific way the students had seen it.

There were many challenges on different levels:
They had to find a relationship with
The outcome I thought was astonishingly rich and beautiful.
Here is a little impression of the show we had at the end of this five
days of workshop.
