dear family and friends!

a little while ago wim & i flew from Berlin 

    

to Gotland (Sweden)

 

we were invited to the "bergman veckan" , the Ingmar Bergman week on the island "farö".

    

 

wim gave a master-class in a little barn, that was turned into a cinema, 

  

and we saw some of bergman's early movies and documentaries and had swedish licorish-chocolate-sweets to eat.

wim showed "PALERMO SHOOTING", "LAND OF PLENTY" and "DON'T COME KNOCKING"  

and had conversations with the young audience afterwards. 

students from all over europe and the us came to join this beautiful film week 

thinking of Ingmar Bergman, 

   

  

  

 

we were taken by the nature..

        

and explored it by boat,

   

 

by foot, 

  

... SOMEHOW JACQUES TATI CAME TO MIND AS WELL... 

  

  

  

 

I was especially taken by the beautiful houses with reed roofs.

  

AND IN "kutens bensin" WHICH WAS CALLED "CREPERIE TATI!" we had the best crepes, and:

at night, we enjoyed the finest rock'n roll... and danced for hours...
 

before the boat came again to pick us up...
